About this event

An autumn take on a perennial favourite – Braidwood Open Gardens are back this March.

One of Braidwood’s most beloved events the Braidwood Open Gardens returns this year, offering a fresh twist in time for the freshening mornings. Usually held in spring, the Gardens committee have arranged an autumn edition for the event’s enthusiastically anticipated return. This means new perspectives on some of Braidwood’s most iconic gardens, new opportunities for expression and inspiration from arguably the most beautiful season in our region.

This year, visitors will see the return of some of Braidwood’s admired destination gardens, as well as a number of new private gardens, never before shared. It’s important to Open Gardens organisers that there is a variety within the program to demonstrate that special, creative places are not only found within grand heritage properties and homesteads, but also within the smaller spaces, working yards and newly built pockets of our town.

Some highlights include:

Six gardens open over the weekend
A cake stall at Longsight on Saturday
Take a drive in the award winning 1930 Dodge DD utility “Gellibrand” restored by the Braidwood Community and Museum at Millpond on Saturday and Sunday for a gold coin donation.

A fundraiser for our community run, not for profit Braidwood Preschool. Proudly in partnership with Community Bank Braidwood.
