Rusten House presents Looks, a series of bold portraits by artist Patrick Morison.
Morison’s portrait exhibition Looks, reflects his fondness for human forms, faces and bold but limited use of colour. Inspired by abstract expressionists like Rothko and Hoffman and pop artists, Warhol and Johns, Morison’s process involves sketching and layering paint, using a minimal colour palette and abstracted forms to convey mood and reflect his chosen subjects. The painting series Looks embodies a personal connection, whereby the artist views each portrait like a friend.
