Rusten House Art Centre presents an exhibition of paintings by Margaret Hadfield
Having lived and painted in and around the region for 35 years, artist Margaret Hadfield is inspired by the natural environment of the Monaro and the Snowy Mountains. Her love of the high country is reflected through detailed oil paintings that capture the changing seasons of the alpine environment. Through exploration of light and shade, Hadfield brings depth and atmosphere to the landscapes she portrays.
Hadfield is a self-supporting artist and business owner who has been a finalist in numerous major art prizes. Hadfield established the Artists Shed, a co-operative private art space, that hosts art classes and focuses on nurturing emerging talent A select few works of Hadfield’s mentees and previous students are also on display at Rusten House.
