QPRC Plans and Strategies

The Regional Economic Development Strategies (REDS), first developed in 2018, provides a comprehensive framework for supporting economic growth across regional NSW. Updated in 2023, these strategies include insights to help businesses build resilience in the face of challenges like bushfires, floods, COVID-19, and the mouse plague, while also seizing new opportunities emerging across the region.

This evidence-based resource is here to inform and guide sustainable, long-term economic growth for businesses across Queanbeyan-Palerang.

Southern Destination Management Plan (2022-2030)

The Destination Management Plan for Southern NSW takes a regional approach to rebuilding and re-imagining tourism in a post-pandemic world. With a focus on promoting the ‘Feel NSW’ brand, the plan emphasises sustainable tourism growth, diversified experiences, and fostering resilience for businesses in the area.

Operating through to 2030, this vision ensures our region remains an unmissable part of the NSW visitor experience.
