About this event

A unique experience, a hands-on truffle hunt where your guide will explain everything you want to know about truffles, the farm and how they started. Truffles can be mysterious and aloof, hiding snugly underground. So when the truffle dogs indicate there is a truffle from the odour they are trained to detect, they will venture to the location and, like archaeologists, gently dig into the ground, until they find the illustrious black truffle!

Their hunt experience is different to most as they have very few rules, they allow people to participate in digging up the truffles (limited numbers per session), interacting with the dogs while they work and getting a personal photo with them at the end. Best of all being able to purchase what you dig out of the ground. The field trip takes approximately one hour and then you will return to their warm and cozy pavilion where you can make yourself comfortable and be offered a variety of truffle tastings, from savoury to sweet, to indulge your senses further.

Whilst comfortably seated in the pavilion, they’ll weigh the harvest and demonstrate how truffles are washed and graded. Most importantly, they share some handy tips and tricks for getting the most use out of your truffle as well as how to pair truffle with food to create simple and delicious meals.
