Multi-media artist Alison Archbold established her art business, Archbold Design, in 2000. Over many years, Alison was contracted on large scale corporate projects, where she worked with cutting-edge techniques and faux finishes. Beyond her building works, Alison has gained recognition in the greeting card industry, with her extensive collection of over 200 designs. Some of her most popular designs are now wholesaled through Australian card distributor Aero Images.
Notably, her love for animals is reflected in her watercolour pet portraits, with many of the subjects being rescue animals, something close to her heart. In addition, her passion for rare budgies, which she has bred for over 40 years, often finds its way into her artworks, revealing the beauty of these magnificent little birds. Alison now has a large range of budgie inspired products.
As a versatile artist, teacher, & creator, Alison showcases her talents through various mediums including ceramics, mosaics, murals, and special finishes. Skilled in acrylic paint and textile art, often combining elements from different styles, using recycled materials to create unique and interesting abstract artworks.
Alison’s studio is located on her picturesque farm in sunny New South Wales, providing her with a serene and inspiring environment to delve into her creative process. It serves as a constant source of inspiration for her work as she continues on her artistic journey.
