A working gallery and exhibition space for members and invited artists to deliver workshops, Queanbeyan Art Society is one of the few art galleries in Australia to hold an art exhibition every month. QAS houses many forms of art from visual to sculptures, life drawings and more. The gallery is open every day and hosts daily workgroups for its members throughout the year.
During the Arts Trail, the gallery will be exhibiting a Young Artists Exhibition with a range of works on display from budding artists, as well as a ‘Clowns, Curiosities, Comedy and Caricatures’ exhibition. In addition to works inside the gallery, past works of the society’s artists will also be hung on the fence outside the gallery. The weekend will also see artists creating art both in the gallery and outside, weather permitting. Visitors will be able to talk to the artists about their work and watch the techniques that they use.
