Thank you to all the businesses that took the time to create a display and enter our competition this year. We have been blown away by the range and quality of the displays submitted. Thank you for getting into the spirit of the competition and finding interesting and creative ways of using upcycled items in your Christmas displays.

This competition will commence at 12:00am on Wednesday 16 November, 2022 and close at 11:59am on Friday 16 December, 2022.

Promotion Categories
The promotion will be conducted in two categories, ‘Business’ and ‘Residential’ with separate voting and prizes.

Business Category: Eligible Entries
Entrants must be the owner/operator of a business located within the QPRC local government area (LGA).

A valid entry must include:

  • a display of Christmas-themed decorations that
    • includes at least one object that has been repurposed or upcycled
    • is visible from a public space, such as the street or footpath,
  • descriptive text about the decoration and which components are repurposed or upcycled,
  • a business name and street address, and
  • contact details of the person making the submission.

QPRC staff employed within the Business and Innovation branch during the competition period are ineligible to enter.

The Promoter may, in its absolute discretion, disqualify any entry which is not completed or eligible in accordance with these terms and conditions. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, lost, incorrectly submitted, invalid or misdirected entries or delays in uploading to the promotion website for any reason including, but not limited to, staff absence, connectivity interruptions and website maintenance.

Business Category: Voting
Entries will be assessed by a QPRC representative for eligibility and uploaded to the website for voting by 4pm (local time) on the business day following submission. Descriptive text may be edited to meet the website’s editorial standards.

Images, descriptive text, business name and address provided will be published on the competition website and may be used for promotional purposes.

Voting for each entry is available as soon as it is loaded onto the website.

Business Category: Prizes
Prizes will be awarded to the three entries receiving the highest number of votes. Each of these winning entries will receive one hamper of local goods and gift vouchers to the value of $500 (incl GST.) Should equal votes impede the declaration of a top three vote recipients, a QPRC representative will cast a deciding vote, selected on merit, based on the promotion’s eligibility criteria.

From the remaining entries, a QPRC representative will select an additional winner, selected on merit, based on the promotion’s eligibility criteria. This prize winner will receive one hamper of local goods and gift vouchers to the value of $500 (incl GST.) Gift vouchers are subject to the terms and conditions of the voucher supplier.

Declaration of prize winners is subject to these terms and conditions and at the absolute discretion of the appointed QPRC representative and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the selection of winning entrants.

Entrants will not be eligible for more than one prize within the same category.

From the remaining entries, the Riverside Plaza Community Prize will be awarded, selected on merit by a Riverside Plaza representative, based on the promotion’s eligibility criteria. This prize winner will receive a $200 (incl GST) voucher to spend at Riverside Plaza.

All gift vouchers are subject to the terms and conditions of the voucher supplier.

Declaration of prize winners is subject to these terms and conditions and at the absolute discretion of the appointed QPRC/Riverside Plaza representative and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the selection of winning entrants.

Entrants will not be eligible for more than one prize within the same category.

Winner Notification and Publication
All winners will be notified by the contact details supplied in their entry by 4pm on Tuesday 21 December, 2022.

Details of prize winners may, at the discretion of the Promoter, be placed on social media platforms, webpages, print media and other platforms that the Promoter deems appropriate. Published details may include name, likeness, location, image and/or video. Residential addresses will only be published where the entrant has provided permission at the time of promotion entry. The outcome of the draw will be available at treasuretrail.com.au/xmas.

Other
The Promoter is not responsible or liable for any loss, damage, injury or other impact suffered by any entrant, or any other person, as a result of their participation in this promotion or in connection with the receipt of prizes.

The Promoter reserves the right to vary the terms of, or cancel, the promotion at any time without liability to any entrant or other person, subject to applicable laws.
