James Blundell and Ray Beadle come together for a special concert celebrating two of Australia’s most enduring musical traditions – Country & Blues.
A true pioneer of modern Australian country music, James Blundell has spent more than three decades writing and performing songs that capture the heart and soul of this country. With his distinctive voice, honest storytelling and a catalogue of much-loved classics, James has earned his place as one of Australia’s most influential country artists.
On the other side of the musical fence stands Ray Beadle, one of Australia’s finest blues guitarists and vocalists. Renowned for his extraordinary guitar playing, soulful voice and electrifying live performances, Ray has built a reputation as a musician’s musician, drawing inspiration from the great blues traditions while creating a sound that’s unmistakably his own.
The evening unfolds across two full 60-minute performances, giving audiences the opportunity to experience each artist doing what they do best. James takes the stage with an hour of his own songs, stories and country favourites, while Ray delivers a powerful hour of blues, showcasing his remarkable guitar work and original material.
Then, for the finale, James and Ray come together on stage for a special collaboration, sharing a handful of songs that bring their two musical worlds together.
