Rusten House Art Centre presents an exhibition by Queanbeyan-based visual artist Neil Sloan, showcasing visual responses from Travels in East Africa.
Safari Art is a solo exhibition by Neil Sloan, capturing his artistic response to travels throughout East Africa with vibrant works on paper that reflect the raw energy of travel, cultural exchange, and responsive arts practice. From connecting with local communities, diverse landscape and wildlife, Neil has created expressive works layered with meaning, energy and a sense of place. Working on-site, his experiences are translated through printmaking, collage, drawing and journaled musings. The exhibition serves as both a vivid snapshot and a reflection of the region’s richness, as well as the artist’s deep personal engagement to the journey.
Meet the artist at their Opening Event – Saturday 31 May 2-4pm.
