The Festival will once again bring food, farming and feasting to Bungendore. This year has been declared the International Year of the Woman Farmer by the UN – so this year’s festival shines a spotlight on the incredible women shaping agriculture across the region and beyond.
Kicking off on Friday night with a launch dinner at Scrumpers Kitchen Bungendore. The launch will feature a three-course menu showcasing the best of the season, created to feature produce grown and raised by women farmers. Each course will be paired with drinks from female producers – Everyday Legacy Craft Distillery and Sapling Yard Winery. The evening will also feature Lucy Ridge about the release of her debut book “Fed Up”: A Chef’s adventure in Food ,Farming and Feminism.
On Saturday morning, the Market will feature heaps of stallholders. Local producers, food trucks, live music, and stalls by local artisan craftspeople will spill onto the streets of Bungendore to celebrate of all things local.
There will be fresh produce, wine, spirits, coffee, teas, preserves, olive oil, body products, ready-to-eat food and drinks. Kids of all ages will enjoy face painting and more fun activities on the day.
In the afternoon, visitors can also book into a craft workshop including a gin tasting experience.
Sunday there will also be Farm Tours and workshops running at farms around the region.
