Accomplished organist, James Flores is based in Albury, NSW. Braidwood Concert Series is delighted to have him to perform at St Andrew’s Anglican Church on the historic manual 1904 W.G. Rendall organ, one of the few extant examples still in use. The organ was rebuilt by L.S. Waters in 1975 and was extensively repaired by Peter Jewkes in 2016.
In 2020 James was awarded the Governor-General of Australia Medal for his contribution to music in the Albury area. His recent international engagements include the opening organ recital of the Kristupo festivalis in Vilnius, Lithuania (2024) and a choir and organ recital at Auckland Town Hall (2025). James also shares his music with audiences worldwide through his YouTube channel.
His Braidwood program will include some Bach, Buxtehude, Bédard, excerpts from Handel’s Water Music and more, and will showcase the range and versatility of our much loved instrument.
