Bungendore Fine Art showcases a changing display of about 150 paintings.
Not only do many talented artists call the region home, there are also numerous active community art groups across the area helping others to join in on the fun. In fact, the community has played a vital role in revitalising the region by creating magnificent public art for everyone to enjoy. In Queanbeyan, local artwork can be discovered all around the city – on benches, on street signs, in parks and more. Some of the public artwork adorning the streets of the city include:
- Jullergung Totem Poles by local Indigenous artists, Matilda House, Louise Brown, Justin Brown, Cheree Williams, Jerikye Williams, Kaden Williams, Joseph Williams, Tenay Williams and Mick Huddleston. Coordinated by Matilda House.
- RESPECT Mosaic Panel community project coordinated by Freya Jobbins. Original artwork by Jerrabomberra Public School student Sophie McKinley.
- Native Flora & Fauna Stainless Steel Bin Surrounds and Bird Sculptures on top of the street signs by Neil Dickinson.
- Mosaic Panels on outdoor seating community project by seven local community groups, coordinated by Kim Grant.
- Queens Bridge Mural with artwork by Mike Shankster. The mural celebrates the past and present identity of Queanbeyan and the contemporary large-scale, highly visible work supports the ongoing development of a cultural precinct in the area.

The BRAG Arts Centre provides a space to gather, learn, exhibit and enjoy. It is used by its members including craftspeople, writers, performers, teachers and supporters, for BRAG exhibitions and events and the centre is also available for hire.
• Fyre Gallery

Fyre Gallery is a boutique fine art gallery specialising in works on paper and textiles. The gallery is committed to an ethos of “beautiful, functional and sustainable”. Exhibitions occur twice yearly in March/April and November/December. Director, Cheryl Hannah, is committed to presenting high quality art to a new audience, showing works by emerging artists, as well as highly collectable international artists.
• Round the Bend Art and Framing Studio

Visitors to Round the Bend Studio will find a cosy, light-filled custom picture framing workshop that doubles as Bek’s Art Studio. Round the Bend began as a small studio in Sydney’s inner west and is now happily situated in beautiful Braidwood after a much needed tree change in 2015. The studio showcases Bek’s vibrant, mixed media works, limited edition prints, linocuts and greeting cards.

Thompson Bespoke Jewellers is a family-owned business with over 30 years’ experience in jewellery design and manufacturing. The award-winning jewellery designers and manufacturers also repair and remodel jewellery and specialise in gold and silver jewellery, coloured and white diamonds, coloured gemstones and pearl with an emphasis on Australian gemstones. The jewellery is designed by Director, designer, gemologist and valuer Diana Thompson and designer Jodie Thompson and made by master jeweller Travis Thompson.

Vetro e Metallo celebrates local hand-making and upcycling of jewellery, fashion and homewares. The centre of V&M’s ethos is the handcrafting and upcycling of salvage materials to create a collection of metal and glass with soul. V&M celebrates its Italian heritage through the vibrant palette of Murano glass used to create a stunning collection of rings, beads and earrings, and metals are salvaged locally and re-formed to tell a new story.

William Verdon Manufacturing Jewellers is a traditional jewellery workshop, specialising in handmade-to-order bespoke jewellery pieces, as well as retail handmade items, repairs, remodelling and maintenance of all types of precious articles. Along with a diverse range of handmade retail jewellery, the gallery also features an eclectic mix of work by Braidwood artists in various media.

Opened in 2015 by Directors Susan Foxlee and Samuel Cooper, Suki & Hugh Gallery features an exhibition program of exciting emerging and established artists. Specialising in visual arts with a focus on glass, ceramics, painting and works on paper, the gallery has a growing reputation for hosting inspiring and compelling exhibitions. Several local and interstate artists are showcased in the gallery shop, located within the same building as the exhibition space. You can purchase a variety of small paintings and framed works on paper along with ceramic and glass art pieces and gifts from the gallery shop.

Water Through Reeds is a family run art gallery featuring contemporary artworks from around Australia. The gallery is situated in a restored pre-federation building and exhibits a wide variety of styles and mediums mainly featuring painting, photography, ceramic work, sculpture and textile design.

Rusten House Art Centre & Gallery is the latest addition to the arts and design scene in Queanbeyan. Built in 1861 as the Community Hospital, the NSW State Heritage Register listed Rusten House is now one of the city’s most significant properties. This exciting addition to the local arts scene operates as a Gallery, Artisan Retail Space and arts instruction workshop space.
