About

This is a 5km cycle tour and sightseeing ride, taking in all the best of Queanbeyan’s picturesque riverside and CBD area. Some of this ride is on quiet back-streets and shared paths. However a small section through the main township is on a relatively busy road. Although busy, the traffic is slow-moving; but just be careful of any parked car-doors or cars pulling back into the traffic as you will be riding on the road through this section.

Some of the key attractions you’ll pass on this ride are sculptures in Ray Morton Park, the Crawford Street Lifestyle Precinct, and artworks and sculptures along Rutledge Street.

Terrain
  • This ride is generally flat, with a couple of small rises.
Access
  • You can start this ride at many different points. For ease of access, the route as documented here starts at the Ray Morton Park on the east side of the town’s main bridge, where there are public toilets, water, playground and picnic facilities, as well as plenty of car parks.
Food & Drink
  • Riding through the CBD of Queanbeyan, you pass many of the city’s best cafes and restaurants. What a great excuse for a ride to be able to stop en route and enjoy a bite to eat along the way.
